Jack as you may know went out to France and was in some of the thick of it got enteric and after six weeks in hospital at Rouen was sent back to England, and is now at the administrative staff at Cambridge, John is away from home at Warminster been there since September he is helping in a Châteaux the war had hit us very hard we have had officers staying in the house off and on Eleanor and I have quite alone now we expect a young 'Lieut and his wife just before Xmas I trust you and Will and the children are keeping well and pray you may have strength given you to bear this heavy ?????
